It applies to this website, our registration forms, our email and text message programs, and the appointment booking we offer through this site. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, which have their own policies.

6. Text Message (SMS) Program

If you check the consent box on our registration form, you agree to receive text messages from Scale My Income, operated by The Brenes Agency, Inc (California Insurance License #0M14655), about your free training registration, event reminders, and marketing and promotional messages including special offers and product updates.

• Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts.

• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

7. Email Communications

When you register, we send you transactional email about your registration and, where you have consented, marketing email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional messages about something you actively signed up for.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:

• Service providers who operate the site and our communications on our behalf, including our CRM and hosting provider, email and SMS delivery providers, our video platform, and our scheduling tools. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
• Advertising and analytics partners listed in Section 4, which receive website activity data through their pixels and tags. Under California law, this may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 10 for how to opt out. Mobile opt-in and SMS consent data are never included.
• Legal and safety disclosures where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may transfer as part of that transaction.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide what you asked for and to meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations. Consent records are retained for at least the period required by applicable telemarketing and privacy law, and generally for a minimum of five years. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

10. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to
• Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information, though we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring this right
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of advertising-related sharing, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Share." You may also limit advertising cookies through your browser settings and through the opt-out tools offered by the advertising partners listed in Section 4.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and access controls on our CRM. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Third-Party Links and Platforms

Our pages link to and embed third-party services, including Zoom, Instagram, Vimeo, and YouTube. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, or Zoom. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
